Larry Hughes, a former NBA player, makes history as Missouri’s only black medical marijuana dispensary owner. The lack of representation has activists calling for more black-owned businesses to be opened in the cannabis industry.

While Mike Parson continues to block ongoing lawsuits lodged by members of the medical marijuana business community, Nicole Galloway vows to investigate the system and make changes. If needed, she states she will fire Lyndall Fraker, the Parson-appointed marijuana czar.

The Sarcoxie Nursery team’s lawsuit slowly moves forward. If victorious, the ruling could allow many more cultivation facilities to open. The Department of Health and Senior Services elected to only allow 60 cultivation centers, which is the minimum number required.

Some of the first flower sold in Missouri was suspected to contain mold. However, the Department of Health and Senior Services quickly investigated, and determined the flower was safe.
