A community college in the St. Louis area will offer the region's first medical cannabis dispensary agent training course.
Dispensary agents, better known as “budtenders,” work behind the counter at dispensaries to assist patients with the purchase of medical marijuana. In the cannabis world, they are the equivalent to a pharmacy technician.
Jefferson College will offer this new course beginning in January 2021. The course will cover topics such as compliance and control, product selection, regulatory and business principles, patient consultation, industry ethics and professionalism and standard operating procedures.
You must be 21 years old or older to enroll in the course.
For registration information and course costs, contact the Jefferson College Workforce Development and Employment Services at 636-481-3144 or click here.
