Missouri residency is no longer a requirement to qualify for a state medical marijuana card. Individuals must still have a government issued-ID and a qualifying medical condition, but residency is no longer a factor.
This opens the medical market to folks in neighboring states, such as Kansas and Kentucky who are visiting or temporarily residing in Missouri.
This change was brought about by the passage of Amendment III in the November 2022 election. Other changes to the medical marijuana program include a higher possession limit, a higher monthly purchase limit at dispensaries, and the cards are valid for three years instead of the previous one year.
To get your card, you need to speak with a medical marijuana doctor. You can set up an appointment here! You can also call us at 913-544-0420.
