Missouri lawmakers passed a bill that forbids the sale of medical marijuana edibles that could attract children, and this bill was subsequently signed by Governor Mike Parson.

Since Missouri-grown marijuana may soon make its way to manufacturing facilities across the state, we should see the effects of this bill shortly.

The legislation includes these provisions:

• A ban on marijuana edibles designed in the shape of a human, animal or fruit. Geometric shapes are permitted.

• Each package containing 10 milligrams or more of THC must be labeled with the universal marijuana packaging symbol.
