Kansas currently has no medical or recreational cannabis program.

However, the Kansas legislature has passed statutes authorizing the sale of CBD products, but the consumption of marijuana, or any THC product, is still illegal and has serious legal repercussions.

There was movement towards legalization early in the 2020 legislative session, but the session was cut short due to COVID-19. However, Governor Kelly has pledged to sign a marijuana bill if it reaches her desk during the upcoming session.
